SERVICES: TEACHER OF THE VISUALLY IMPAIRED
Teachers of the visually impaired are trained to assess your child's vision. They have extensive training in treatment techniques to help children of all levels of vision loss and impairment to reach their maximum potential in all areas of development. Vision teachers utilize a variety of different treatment approaches to help to improve your child's orientation and mobility, visual tracking skills, awareness of their surroundings, and overall ability to interact effectively and safely in their environment. Our vision teachers have an extensive knowledge of local and national resources available to help your child reach his or her maximum potential. They are trained to utilize a variety of equipment to promote improved vision skills for your child.
